Kenningwell United Women’s and Girls Football Club (KUWFC) held a social pre-season training session at Powerleague Battersea that created chemistry between potential new signings and a chance for the club to bolster their squad for their first ever season in Tier 7 of the National League.

At KUWFC, the main mission is to shine a light on women’s football, increase popularity and to continue growing the game at grassroots level.

Joining the club as Honourable President is former Chelsea player Natasha Anne Randall, who is hoping to play an important role in the clubs development both on and off the pitch.

“It’s a massive honour to be asked to be someone’s president and I hope I can do the club justice,” said Natasha.

Natasha already has a connection with KUWFC through director Michael, having previously worked with him while attempting to organise a charity match.

“Last season I was playing with Wandsworth Borough, I’m not going to be playing there this season as I’m hoping to be signing for you guys and doing my bit in the background for Kenningwell.”

Natasha admits she is looking forward to next season and is keen to utilise her experience and her network of contacts to encourage ex-colleagues to sign for KUWFC, such as former Chelsea player Ella Bale, to strengthen the squad.

“I’ve got a message that I’m sending out to the girls, I’m also going to reach out to some of the players at Wandsworth that I know.

“I will use my influence and contacts wherever I can. If I can inspire one person, that’s enough for me.

“The club want to push for promotion and I completely support that,” added Natasha.

“It’s all about growing women’s football and I’m all for that, whatever I can do to achieve that goal for that I’m all in.”

As the countdown to the new season continues, KUWFC’s ambitions extend beyond results on the pitch. With a growing squad, a clear vision and influential figures such as Natasha supporting the club, the foundations are being laid for what promises to be an exciting first season.
